So sicky sicky!!!

I have not written in a while, mainly because the #$%* has been hitting the fan with
work. Ok, well maybe it's not THAT bad, but there is definitely some "restructuring"
going on. Not only has this restructuring dissolved some partnerships, it may have
also dissolved some friendships. The stress of it all has been keeping me up at night
and as a result I have gotten a terrible cold.

For the last two days I have basically slept on the couch trying desperately to breath
through my nose. Nothing is helping, but I guess that is to be expected as I am limited
to saline nose sprays and lemon tea. I hope this cold passes soon, I have a long week
ahead of me to resolve these work issues and a mama due any day now.

As far as the pregnancy goes, everything seems to be going well. I am gaining lots of
weight, but not in really the right spots. My arms, legs, and of course my butt are growing
at an alarming speed. I can no longer fit into most of my cloths, but it doesn't really
seem to be because of a "baby bump". I will be excited for the day you can tell that a
little one is in there, but until then I'm afraid I will just look pleasantly plump.

I have started slowly back into an exercise regime. It was really hard for me to stay
away from exercise for the first 12 weeks (and probably unnecessary too, but I am a
worrier). I have been spending about 1/2 hour on the elliptical every day or two, and
started to lift weights. I have always continued with yoga and teaching prenatal fitness
classes, so I wasn't as bad off as I thought. I will keep with the elliptical until I feel
comfortable enough to head back to spin class.

I guess there is not much going on other then that, I am off to my in laws for sunday
supper, I am going to try my best to look as lively as possible. All I really want to do
is stay home and sleep...oh well, maybe tomorrow?

  1. Oh, too bad to hear about trouble at work. :( Hang in there. Good for you for exercising! :) Who cares about pleasantly plump or not? It's all about health.

  2. Sorry to hear you're having trouble at work! I used to get sick every winter - I'm pretty sure it was stress at work (that was our bonus time, which was almost more stressful than happy) and overworking that always ran me down. Try to get some rest and take care of your self!

  5. Sorry to hear about the conflict with your business partners. That is especially hard when you have started as friends or have become friends and due to differences/dissolving of partnerships is always hard. But, you need to try and keep it in "stride" as you are pregnant now and stress is not good for you right now. What has happend has happend and you can only fix so much. Sleep is important for you and your baby so make sure you do that. YOu have tried for so long to conceive and now you are almost there delivering your little one, unfortunately some things just need to be put to the side for the time being if the stress is just too much to handle.
Take very good care of yoursef..hugs!
I have also just finished fighting off a bad nasal congestion cold! it was so bad! couldn't breath!

  6. Sorry about the work drama, that's never fun!!! I too am feeling just chunky right now. I was thinking at dinner today that I should start rubbing my belly so that anyone who looked at me would know I was pregnant and not just chubby (overweight people don't normally rub their bellies in public!!) :-) I hope you get over your cold soon and get back to feeling better!!!!
